IDEA League Summer School 2021

On July 16, the 2nd edition of our online summer school on Computational Design for Additive Manufacturing came to an end, after two weeks of intense virtual plenary sessions, recorded lectures and teamworking activities.

Thanks to the co-organizers Serena Graziosi (Polimi), Jun Wu (TU Delft), Zjenja Doubrovski (TU Delft), Tino Stanković (ETH Zurich) and Nicholas Meisel (Penn State) and invited speakers, Richard Bibb (Loughborough University), Jochen Mueller (Johns Hopkins University), José Pinto Duarte (Penn State College of Arts and Architecture), Shadi Nazarian (Penn State College of Arts and Architecture), Timon Rijnaarts (Ultimaker) and Sylvain Lefebvre (Inria - French national research institute for digital science and technology) for their inspiring lectures.
A special thanks to Martin Schütz (ETH Zurich) for his guidance and support on the design challenge.

We are grateful to the IDEA League network for having made this summer school possible and to the Design Society for having endorsed it.

Despite time-zone differences and the difficult period we are living, passioned people like our participants, don’t stop learning and working together. What an incredible learning experience!
